Egyhangúlag megszavazta az orosz parlament alsóháza hétfőn a négy, orosz ellenőrzés alá került ukrajnai régió Oroszországhoz való „csatlakozásáról” szóló szerződéseket.
Az Állami Duma egyszerre, egyhangúlag szavazta meg a Donyecki és a Luhanszki Népköztársasággal, valamint a Herszon és a Luhanszk megyével megkötött szerződést. Vjacseszlav Vologyin házelnök Telegram-bejegyzésben közölte, hogy az Oroszországi Föderációnak immár 89 közigazgatási egysége van.
A ratifikálást követően az ülésteremben Szergej Lavrov orosz külügyminiszter gratulált a négy régió képviselőinek, és kifejezte abbéli meggyőződését, hogy a felsőház is meg fogja szavazni a „csatlakozásukat”.
A négy régiónak az Oroszországhoz való csatlakozásáról tartott népszavazását, valamint a területek annektálását egyetlen külföldi kormány sem tekinti legitimnek.
