Arszen Avakov, a Belügyminisztérium vezetője videoüzenetben szólította fel a választási kampány résztvevőit a törvény szigorú betartására.
„Néhány nap múlva a regisztrált jelöltek kampányolni kezdenek. Ennek előestéjén szeretném felszólítani a választási folyamat minden résztvevőjét, hogy szigorúan tartsák be a törvényeket, ne sértsék meg a kampányszabályokat, ne folyamodjanak illegális sémákhoz és megállapodásokhoz, ne bomlasszák a helyzetet választókörzetükben. Az ukrán belügyminisztériumnak van elegendő ereje, eszköze és motivációja a választási folyamat ellenőrzéséhez… Egyetlen párt és egyetlen jelölt sem kap preferenciákat a Belügyminisztériumtól vagy a rendőrségtől, de mindenki számíthat törvényes jogainak biztosítására és védelmére. Vezessük le ezt a kampányt, a korábbi elnök- és parlamenti választásokhoz hasonlóan – rendben, tisztán és becsületesen!”.
Avakov megígérte, hogy szigorúan fognak reagálni a „választási hálózatok” kiépítésére tett minden kísérletre, a választók megvesztegetésére, a provokációkra és más jogsértésekre. Elmondása szerint a rendvédelmi tisztviselők már rendelkeznek erre utaló információikkal az ilyenfajta kísérletekről. A Nemzeti Rendőrségen belül működik egy külön egység, amely ellenőrzi az összes bejelentést.
A választási folyamat megsértéséről a 044-254-97-56 telefonszámon lehet tájékoztatást adni.
Mivel ezek a választások a Covid-19 járvány és karantén intézkedések feltételei betartásával tartják meg, Avakov felszólította a jelölteket és a kampányirodákat, hogy vegyék figyelembe a tömegrendezvényekre vonatkozó szabályokat és ne kockáztassák választóik egészségét.
