A jelentés szerint Macron azt mondta: „ami a Leclerc tankokat illeti, megkértem a fegyveres erők miniszterét, hogy dolgozzon rajta. Semmi sincs kizárva, és valóban kollektívan értékelünk.”
Scholz a német Leopard tankokkal kapcsolatos kérdésekre válaszolva elmondta, hogy „a múltbeli magatartásunk mindig szorosan összehangolt barátainkkal és szövetségeseinkkel, és továbbra is az adott helyzetnek megfelelően fogunk cselekedni.”
A hónap elején Franciaország, Németország és az Egyesült Államok ígéretet tett arra, hogy francia AMX-10 RC könnyű harckocsikat, 40 német Marder páncélozott szállító járművet és 50 darab Bradley harcjárművet szállít.
