Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök Ihor Tancjura vezérőrnagyot nevezte ki a fegyveres erők területvédelmi erőinek parancsnokává, az államfő egyúttal felmentette ebből a tisztségből Jurij Haluskint – adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál a336/2022. számú rendeletre hivatkozva.
Az elnöki ukáz szerint „Tancjura Ihor Ivanovics vezérőrnagy neveztessék ki az ukrán fegyveres erők területvédelmi erőinek parancsnokává.” Elődjét, Jurij Halushkin dandártábornokot idén január 1-jén nevezték ki az ukrán fegyveres erők területvédelmi erőinek parancsnokává.
Tancjura korábban az ukrán fegyveres erők szárazföldi erőinek vezérkari főnökeként szolgált.
Május 2-án az elnök a Bohdan Hmelnickij rendjel III. fokozatával tüntette ki „Ukrajna állami szuverenitásának és területi integritásának védelmében tanúsított személyes bátorságáért és önzetlen cselekedeteiért, valamint a katonai eskühöz való hűségéért”.
