Finnország kedden levelet küldött az Európai Bizottságnak azzal a javaslattal, hogy vezessen be általános javaslatokat minden schengeni ország számára az orosz állampolgároknak kiadott vízumok törlésére vagy érvénytelenítésére, valamint a beutazás korlátozására.
A hírt a Jevropejszka pravda közölte a finn külügyminisztériumra hivatkozva.
Hozzáteszi, hogy ebben az esetben az Oroszországi Föderáció azon állampolgáráról szóló információk, akitől megtagadták a belépést, bekerülnek a schengeni információs rendszerbe, és ennek eredményeként más tagállamok is megakadályozhatják, hogy az adott személy belépjen a schengeni övezetbe.

Szeptember 19-től csak disszidensek, független újságírók, más humanitárius okokból érkező személyek és családtagjaik, valamint uniós polgárok családtagjai, tengerészek, Kalinyingrádon átutazó, D kategóriájú hosszú távú vízummal rendelkező személyek engedhetők be az országba.

A Legfelső Tanács kedden felhívással fordult az Európai Unióhoz, az EU tagállamaihoz, az EU intézményeihez, a tagállamok parlamentjeihez, kormányaihoz, hogy töröljék el a turistavízumokat, és tiltsák meg a schengeni vízumok kiadását orosz állampolgárok számára, és ne ismerjék el az Ukrajna ideiglenesen megszállt területein kiadott orosz útleveleket – közölte Olena Suljak, a Nép Szolgája párt vezetője, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
Mint Suljak elmondta, az Oroszországi Föderáció állampolgárainak többsége támogatja a hadseregük véres cselekményeit Ukrajna területén. „Ezért a toleranciájuk árának a meglévő orosz turistavízumok érvényességének törlése kell, hogy legyen, különös tekintettel azokra, akik már az Európai Unió országaiban tartózkodnak, valamint az Oroszországi Föderációval való légi és szárazföldi összeköttetések felszámolása” – mutatott rá.
A pártvezető azt is hozzátette: tekintettel arra, hogy az Oroszországi Föderáció kirívóan megsértette az ENSZ Alapokmányát és a nemzetközi jog más alapvető normáit, a parlamenti képviselők felszólították az Európai Unió tagországait, hogy korlátozzák az agresszor állam polgárai számára a schengeni vízumok kiadását. „Az EU-nak teljesen fel kell bontania az Oroszországgal kötött megállapodást a vízumkiadás egyszerűsített eljárásáról, nem szabad elismernie az Ukrajna nemrégiben megszállt területein kiadott orosz útleveleket, és közös álláspontot kell kidolgoznia az oroszoknak már kiadott 10 millió érvényes schengeni vízum eltörléséről” – szólított fel Olena Suljak.

I call on all EU and G7 states to stop issuing visas to Russians. President @ZelenskyyUa is absolutely right to insist on this. Russians overwhelmingly support the war on Ukraine. They must be deprived of the right to cross international borders until they learn to respect them.
