Az Egyesült Államok szankciókat vezetett be egy ukrán társaság ellen, akit venezuelai kőolaj szállításával vádolnak.
Az amerikai pénzügyminisztérium bejelentette, hogy szankciókat vezettek be az odesszai Fides Ship Management társaság ellen. A szankciók négy, a társaság által üzemeltetett hajót is érintenek: Baliar (libériai zászló alatt közlekedő), Balita, Domani, Freedom (mindhárom kameruni zászló alatt közlekedők).
2019 januárjában az Egyesült Államok szankciókat vezetett be Venezuela olajszektorával szemben. Mindez azután történt, hogy az Egyesült Államok ideiglenes államfőként ismerte el Juan Guaidót, és lemondásra szólította fel Nicolas Maduro elnököt.

На засіданні Ради міністрів закордонних справ ЄС поінформував колег про небезпечний курс РФ на загострення. Я запропонував покроковий план дій задля стримування подальшої ескалації РФ.
