Gazdasági kérdések mellett az ukrajnai háború és a globális biztonság is szóba került hétfőn a kínai–francia–európai uniós háromoldalú csúcstalálkozón Párizsban – derült ki az egyeztetést követően Ursula von der Leyen által kiadott közleményből. Az Európai Bizottság elnöke ebben nyíltnak és őszintének nevezte a megbeszéléseket.
„Egy olyan Kína, mely betartja a szabályokat, mindannyiunk számára hasznos, ám szükség esetén Európa nem riad vissza attól sem, hogy kemény döntéseket hozzon gazdasága és biztonsága védelmében” – szögezte le a bizottsági elnök.
Mint mondta, az Európai Unió nem tudja befogadni a piacait elöntő kínai ipari termékek dömpingjét, s az egyeztetésen arra szólította fel Hszi Csin-ping kínai elnököt, tegyen lépéseket a túltermelés ügyében, példaként pedig az elektromos autókra és az acélra vonatkozó támogatásokat emelte ki.
Von der Leyen arról is beszélt, hogy Peking nem biztosítja az EU-s vállalatok igazságos részvételét a kínai piacon, és aláhúzta: bízik az előremutató egyeztetésekben.
Hozzátette: Brüsszel együttműködik az ügyben szintén érintett G7-országokkal.
„A piacunk nyitva van és nyitva is marad a tisztességes verseny és a befektetők előtt. De az nem válik Európa előnyére, ha ez a gazdaságunknak árt és kiszolgáltatottá tesz” – fogalmazott. Hozzátette: az EU nem fogadhatja el a piactorzító gyakorlatokat, melyek iparának leépítéséhez vezetnek saját területén.

A bizottság elnöke emellett aláhúzta: az EU számít Kínára abban a tekintetben is, hogy nyomást gyakorol Moszkvára az Ukrajna elleni háború befejezése érdekében, valamint bízik abban, hogy a kínai diplomácia segít enyhíteni Moszkva „Ukrajnát érintő nukleáris fenyegetőzéseit”, kiemelve, hogy Hszi Csin-ping a múltban már tett ilyen jellegű diplomáciai lépéseket.
Felszólította továbbá Pekinget, korlátozza a Moszkvának küldött, civil és katonai célokra egyaránt felhasználható eszközeit.
A német politikus rámutatott arra is, hogy Pekingnek komoly szerepe lehet abban, hogy fékezze Irán ballisztikus rakéta- és dróngyártását.
