 A kormányfőt a 90 tagú szlovén törvényhozás jelen lévő tagjai közül 54-en támogatták, és 30-an szavaztak ellene.
 Golob ezzel felhatalmazást kapott a kormányalakításra. Az új kormánykoalíciót várhatóan alkotó három párt – a balközép Szabadság Mozgalom, a Szociáldemokraták (SD) és a Baloldal (Levica) – összesen 53 parlamenti képviselővel rendelkezik a törvényhozásban.
