 Kasciunast március 25-én nevezték ki, az ukrajnai látogatása egyben az első külföldi útja is. Zelenszkij a találkozón köszönetet mondott neki azért, hogy Litvánia az invázió kezdete óta támogatja Ukrajnát.

Mindeközben az elnöki hivatal egy közleményben azt írta, hogy „a találkozó során a felek megvitatták a Litvánia által nyújtott további átfogó támogatást is”, amely elsősorban az ukrán katonák kiképzésére és a sebesültek rehabilitációs programjainak végrehajtására vonatkozik.
