Ukrajna hazaszállított négy gyermeket, akiket az agresszor ország deportált. A hírt Andrij Jermak, az Elnöki Hivatal vezetője közölte.
Egy 3, 6 és 9 éves kisfiú, valamint egy 17 éves lány térhetett haza. Jermak hozzátette, hogy az agresszort népirtásért felelősségre kell vonni.
Korábban a The Washington Post a katari kormány meg nem nevezett képviselőjére hivatkozva arról számolt be, hogy a Katar által közvetített tárgyalásokat követően Oroszország beleegyezett négy deportált gyermek visszaszállításába Ukrajnába.
A külföldről hazatérők segítenék az országot, de mivel az országban jelenleg is folyik a háború, erről mindenki maga kell döntsön – közölte Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök a sajtó képviselői számára szervezett sajtótájékoztatón, számolt be az Ukrinform.
„Ha a háború ma véget érne, egész biztosan beszédet intéznék hozzájuk és mindenkit arra kérnék, hogy térjenek haza. Biztos vagyok benne, hogy állampolgáraink imádják Ukrajnát, és számukra ez a legjobb ország … De a háború még nem ért véget, az ország számos régiója nem biztonságos. Ezért úgy gondolom, hogy amikor az ukrán lakosság hazatér, elkezdődik az ország gazdaságának beindítása. Ez nagyon fontos számunkra, de amíg tart a háború, nem kérhetem, hogy térjenek haza. Csak egyet mondhatok: minden egyes ember hazatérése segíti Ukrajnát, de még harcolunk, és ezt mindenkinek önállóan kell eldöntenie” – mondta Zelenszkij.
Elmondása szerint az országot azok kell újjáépítsék, akiknek itt van az otthonuk.
„Mi egy szabad ország vagyunk, de egyet jegyezzenek meg, számítunk önökre, szeretnénk, ha ukrán állampolgárok maradnának, és biztos vagyok abban, hogy ez a vágy közös” – tette hozzá az elnök.

A Külügyminisztérium keresi az ukránok hazaszállításának módját, akik jelenleg a háború sújtotta Gázai övezetben tartózkodnak.
Oleh Nyikolenko, a külügyminisztérium szóvivője elmondta: „A Külügyminisztérium tartja a kapcsolatot az ukránokkal, akik kifejezték szándékukat a Gázai övezet elhagyására. Jelenleg 120-an vannak.”
Az izraeli és egyiptomi ukrán nagykövetségek, valamint a Palesztin Nemzeti Adminisztráción belül működő kirendeltség jelenleg a hazaszállítási útvonalakat dolgozza ki.
