Ukrajna soha nem kért más országokat, hogy segítsenek csapatokkal az orosz agresszió elleni háborúban, hazánk képes megvédeni magát, de szüksége van fegyverekre a szövetségeseitől – jelentette ki csütörtökön Dmitro Kuleba külügyminiszter egy televíziós interjúban, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint az ukrán diplomácia vezetője az Al Aan TV arab tévécsatornának nyilatkozva válaszolt arra a riporteri kérdésre, hogy lehetséges-e új országok részvétele az orosz-ukrán háborúban. Mint hangsúlyozta: „bízunk az erőnkben, abban, hogy képesek vagyunk megvédeni hazánkat.”
A külügyminiszter kiemelte: „soha, hangsúlyozom, soha, még a legsötétebb pillanatokban sem kértünk külföldi katonákat, hogy jöjjenek a földünkre. Soha nem kértünk más országokat, hogy küldjenek csapatokat Ukrajnába.” Tudjuk, hogy ez a mi országunk, és meg fogjuk védeni – tette hozzá. „De igaz, hogy olyan fegyvereket kérünk, amelyek segítenek legyőzni a hadsereget, amely mind létszámban, mind fegyverzetben felülmúlja a miénket” – emlékeztetett Dmitro Kuleba.
A hírportál emlékeztetett arra, hogy Jens Stoltenberg NATO-főtitkár a közelmúltban kijelentette, hogy a szövetség erői nem vesznek részt az ukrajnai háborúban, de kulcsfontosságú az ukránoknak nyújtott fegyvertámogatás.

I had a call with @JosepBorrellF discussing in detail the preparations for the upcoming Ukraine-EU summit on February 3. We have outlined our expectations and focused on a format that will ensure its success. We also discussed military aid, sanctions, and Iran-Russia cooperation.
