Hírügynökségek iráni hivatalos forrásokra hivatkozva azt közölték, hogy a helikopter – egy amerikai gyártmányú Bell 212 típusú légijármű – teljesen kiégett a balesetben. A baleset az azeri határhoz közeli Varzekán városa mellett, a visszaúton történt. Az IRNA úgy tudja, hogy a gépen utazott az iráni Kelet-Azerbajdzsán tartomány kormányzója és a tartományi székhely, Tebriz egyik vallási vezetője.

Izrael kizárását követelte az iráni elnök az ENSZ-ből vasárnap, miközben a közel-keleti országban gyűlésekkel ünnepelték az iszlám forradalom 45. évfordulóját.
Ebrahim Raiszi iráni elnök Teheránban az ünnepnapon tartott gyűlésen, több ezer ember előtt Izraelre utalva kijelentette: „Javasoljuk a cionista entitás kizárását az ENSZ-ből”. Szavainak alátámasztására hozzátette: „ami ma Gázában történik, az emberiség elleni bűncselekmény, és ennek a bűnöző rezsimnek a támogatói az Egyesült Államok és egyes nyugati országok”.
Egyben azzal vádolta meg Izraelt, hogy a palesztin övezetben folytatott hadműveleteivel „megsértett, számos, a nemzetközi szervezetek keretében kötött nyilatkozatot, határozatot és megállapodást”.
Irán a Nyugaton is terrorszervezetnek minősített Hamász palesztin szervezet egyik legfőbb támogatója abban a fegyveres konfliktusban, amelyet az iszlamista szervezet október 7-én indított el egy példátlan támadással Dél-Izraelben, és amelynek több mint 1160 halálos áldozata volt a hivatalos izraeli adatok szerint.
Megtorlásul Izrael a Hamász „megsemmisítését” ígérte, amelyet szintén terrorszervezetnek tekint.
Az izraeli hadsereg offenzívát indított, amelynek során több mint 28 ezer ember halt meg Gázában – közölte a palesztin területen 2007 óta hatalmon lévő iszlamista mozgalom egészségügyi minisztériuma.
A teheráni Azadi (Szabadság) téren vasárnap összegyűlt emberek egy része a legfelsőbb politikai és vallási vezető, Ali Hamenei ajatolláh, az iszlám köztársaság alapítója, Ruhollah Khomeini ajatolláh portréit emelték magasba, valamint a népszerű Kászim Szulejmáni tábornokét, akit az amerikai hadsereg 2020 januárjában Bagdadban egy rajtaütés során megölt.
Jelszavaik között szerepeltek a „Le az Egyesült Államokkal!”, „Le Izraellel!” és „Le az Egyesült Királysággal” is, 1979 óta az iszlám köztársaság ezeket fő ellenfeleinek tekinti.
Raiszi szerint „a Nyugat katonai konfliktusokkal, gazdasági blokáddal és szankciókkal próbálja elérni, hogy Irán ne védje tovább Palesztinát és az iszlám forradalom eszméit”. Sikertelenül – tette hozzá.
A nyugati országok egyebek között azzal vádolják Iránt, hogy az ukrajnai háború kezdete óta drónokat szállít Oroszországnak – amit Teherán tagad – és rakétákat az általa támogatott közel-keleti fegyveres csoportoknak, így a jemeni húszi lázadóknak.

Iráni vezetők az Egyesült Államok közel-keleti jelenléte ellen tiltakoztak szombaton, arra hivatkozva, hogy Washington aláássa a régió biztonságát.
„Nem tartjuk hasznosnak az idegen erők és a külföldiek jelenlétét a térségben” – mondta Ebrahim Raiszi iráni elnök iraki kollégájával, Abdullatif Rasíddal közösen tartott teheráni sajtótájékoztatóján.
„Az Egyesült Államok jelenléte megzavarja a régió biztonságát” – jegyezte meg az iráni elnök. „Kapcsolatunk Irakkal közös érdekeken alapul”, míg „az amerikaiak a saját érdekeikre gondolnak, nem pedig a térség országainak érdekeire” – tette hozzá.
„Az amerikaiak senkinek sem barátai, és még az európai barátaikhoz sem hűségesek” – mondta Ali Hamenei legfelsőbb iráni vezető az iraki elnökkel tartott találkozója során.
„Egyetlen amerikai jelenléte is túl sok Irakban” – hangsúlyozta Hamenei.
Bár Irak és Irán az 1980-as években nyolc évig háborúban állt egymással, a két síita többségű szomszédos ország között Szaddám Huszein iraki diktátor és szunnita vezetésű rendszerének bukása után jelentősen javult a viszony.
Irak a nyugati szankciók által sújtott Irán egyik legfontosabb gazdasági támaszává vált, míg Teherán gázzal és villamos energiával, valamint mindennapi árucikkekkel látja el Bagdadot.
Raiszi elmondta, hogy Irán és Irak folytatja az együttműködést a víz- és villamosenergia-infrastruktúra területén. Egyúttal hozzátette, hogy a két ország biztonsági megállapodást kötött, miután Iraknak és a határainak a biztonsága nagyon fontos Irán számára.

Az ország szombaton ünnepelte az iráni forradalom 44. évfordulóját, amire állami ünnepségekkel és Ebrahim Raiszi elnök televíziós beszédével emlékeztek. Teheránban az ünnepségek részeként iráni gyártású ballisztikus rakétákat, egy drónt, egy tengeralattjáró-elhárító cirkálót és más katonai felszereléseket állítottak ki.
Az elnök a fővárosban tartott beszédében bűnbánatra szólította fel a „megtévesztett fiatalokat”, akik már szeptember óta tüntetnek a kormány ellen. Mint mondta: ha megbánják a bűneiket, az irániak tárt karokkal fogadják őket.
Az élőben közvetített beszédet az interneten körülbelül egy percre félbeszakították, a képernyőn megjelent az „Edalat Ali (Ali igazsága)” névre hallgató, Irán-ellenes kormányellenes hekkercsoport logója. Az adásszünet közben egy hang azt kiáltotta: „Halál az iszlám köztársaságra”. A helyszínről való élő követítésekből egyébként többféle skandálás is kihallatszik, egyesek „Halál Izraelre” és „Halál Amerikára” rigmusokat kiabáltak, míg mások az elnök halálát kívánták.
Raiszi beszédével arra is utalt, hogy vasárnap Ali Khamenei ajatollah amnesztiát adott ki számos fogolyra, köztük kormányellenes tüntetéseken letartóztatottakra. A forradalom évfordulóját ünneplő amnesztia részeként az iráni hatóságok pénteken szabadon engedték a bebörtönzött disszidens Farhad Meysamit, aki éhségsztrájkot folytatott, valamint Fariba Adelkhah iráni-francia akadémikust.
A tiltakozásokat Mahsza Amini, egy 22 éves iráni kurd nő halála váltotta ki szeptemberben. A nőt az erkölcsrendészet letartóztatta, mert állítólag megsértette az ország szigorú öltözködési szabályait, majd olyan súlyosan bántalmazták, hogy a nő három nappal később belehalt sérüléseibe.
A hatóságok „zavargásokról” beszélnek, és Irán külföldi ellenségeit, illetve azok ügynökeit teszik felelőssé. Emberi jogi szervezetek becslései alapján több mint 500-an haltak meg és csaknem 20 ezer embert tartóztattak le a tüntetések kezdete óta Iránba.

Irán Venezuela legfőbb szövetségesévé vált az olajtermelés növelésében az országot sújtó amerikai szankciók közepette. Az Egyesült Államok két ősellensége tavaly óta erősíti kapcsolatait.
Maduro kormánya alapvető fontosságú felszereléseket kapott olajipara számára Teheránból, amely cserébe nyersolajat és más nyersanyagokat kapott a dél-amerikai országtól.
Irán döntő szerepet játszott Venezuela 2021-es növekvő olajtermelésében.
Maduro egy tévéinterjúban elmondta, a találkozóra személyesen Ebrahim Raiszi iráni elnök hívta meg. Azt nem említette meg, mikor kerül sor a találkozóra, és arról sem közölt részleteket, pontosan milyen új terveken dolgoznak, de a két országot „harcosoknak” nevezte.
A venezuelai elnök elmondta, 2022-ben az arab országokkal való együttműködéseket is újra akarja indítani:
Szeretnek minket az arab világban; tudom, hogy az arab kormányok és népek szeretik Venezuelát.
Az amerikai szankciók 2019 óta tartó szigorítása kedvezőtlen hatással volt Venezuela nyersolaj-értékesítésére és az üzemanyagimportra, ami országszerte súlyosbította a benzinhiányt.

„Napirenden vannak a megbeszélések – hangsúlyozta. Célorientált tárgyalásokra törekszünk, hogy véget érjenek az iráni népre kivetett igazságtalan szankciók” – tette hozzá.
Az Egyesült Államok 2018-ban felmondta az Iránnal kötött többhatalmi atomalkut, és újra életbe léptette az addig felfüggesztett büntetőintézkedéseket, amelyeket azóta újabbak követtek. Joe Biden amerikai elnök azt mondta, hogy szeretné, ha Washington visszatérne az egyezményhez. Ugyanakkor az ennek érdekében áprilisban Bécsben elkezdődött tárgyalások zátonyra futottak azt követően, hogy a június 18-i iráni elnökválasztáson Ebrahim Raiszi konzervatív jelölt, Ali Hamenei iráni legfelsőbb vezető pártfogoltja győzött.
A Nemzetközi Atomenergia-ügynökség (NAÜ) úgy értesült, hogy Irán 20 százalékosra dúsított uránfémet állított elő, és jelentősen megnövelte az akár 60 százalékos tisztaságú urán gyártási kapacitását. Az iszlám köztársaság azt követően fokozta kapacitásait, hogy holtpontra jutottak az atomalku megmentéséért folyó diplomáciai tárgyalások.
Párizs, Berlin és London augusztus közepén aggodalmát fejezte ki emiatt, és az iszlám köztársasággal folytatott tárgyalások haladéktalan újrakezdését követelte.
Az atomfegyver előállításához 90 százalékosra dúsított urán szükséges, ugyanakkor számos más közbülső technológiai eljárás is nélkülözhetetlen. Ebrahim Raiszi lesz Irán új elnöke, anélkül hogy második fordulót kellene tartani az elnökválasztáson. Az iráni igazságszolgáltatás keményvonalas vezetőjétől erősebb iszlámra épülő politizálásra számítanak.
Gratulált a keményvonalasnak tartott Ebrahim Raiszinak az iráni elnökválasztáson elért győzelméhez ellenfele, a mérsékeltnek számító Abdolnaszer Hemmati – jelentette az iráni állami média szombaton.
„Remélem, hogy kormánya – Ali Hamenei ajatollah vezetése alatt – virágzást és elégedettséget hoz országunk számára” – áll Hemmati levelében.
Jóllehet a belügyminisztérium azt közölte, hogy a szavazatszámlálás még tart, korábban pedig arról tájékoztatott, hogy a végleges összesítés vasárnapra várható, nem sokkal később Haszan Róháni leköszönő elnök is megerősítette: megvan a választás győztese.
„Gratulálok az embereknek a döntésükhöz – jelentette be Róháni a televízióban – A hivatalos gratuláció még várat magára, de már tudjuk, ki kapott elegendő szavazatot a választáson, kit választott meg ma az ország” – tette hozzá, bár a győztes nevét nem mondta ki.
Az AFP hírügynökség úgy tudja, hogy Raiszi győzelmét mindhárom ellenfele – Instagramon, Twitteren vagy az iráni médián keresztül – elismerte.
Iránban pénteken tartottak elnökválasztást, a felmérések szerint a részvétel akár rekordalacsony is lehetett. Az előrejelzések Raiszit tartották a választás szinte biztos befutójának. A korábban Teherán főügyészi tisztségét betöltő Raiszi magáénak tudhatta a síita állam legfőbb vallási és politikai vezetője, Ali Hamenei ajatollah támogatását is.
A választáson eredetileg több mint hatszáz jelölt akart indulni, de a jelölteket megrostáló, az állam iszlám jellegén őrködő, 12 tagú Őrök Tanácsa csak hét indulót engedélyezett.
