Svédország engedélyezi a NATO-nak, hogy csapatokat állomásoztasson a területén, mielőtt hivatalosan csatlakozna a Szövetséghez, jelentette be az ország miniszterelnöke és védelmi minisztere – írja a Reuters.
„A kormány úgy döntött, hogy a svéd fegyveres erők megkezdhetik a kiképzést a NATO-országokkal, hogy lehetővé tegyék a jövőbeni közös műveleteket” – mondta Ulf Kristersson miniszterelnök és Paul Jonsson védelmi miniszter.
A Dagens Nyheter laphoz fűzött kommentárjukban megjegyezték, hogy az előkészülethez tartozhat külföldi berendezések és személyzet ideiglenes állomásoztatása Svédország területén. A kormány illetékesei szerint ez a döntés egyértelmű jelzés Oroszországnak, és erősíti Svédország védelmi képességeit.
Elmondásuk szerint Oroszország a jövőben fenyegetés marad a szomszédos országok számára, és nem biztosak Vlagyimir Putyin elnök területi ambíció mértékében.

Erősebb NATO-jelenlétet szorgalmazott a szövetség keleti szárnyán Gitanas Nauseda litván elnök az Ukrajna elleni orosz háború folytatódása miatt.
„Ez frontvonal, amelynek nagyon erősnek kell lennie. Lég- és rakétavédelemre, valamint a szövetség megerősített jelenlétére van szükségünk a térségben” – jelentette ki Nauseda, miután Vilniusban tárgyalt kedden Frank-Walter Steinmeier német elnökkel.
„Németország hosszútávú elkötelezettsége Litvánia biztonsága iránt elengedhetetlen a NATO egész keleti szárnya számára”– jelentette ki a litván elnök. „Litvánia a maga részéről kész mindent megtenni, hogy a német csapatok otthon érezzék magukat nálunk” – tette hozzá.
Steinmeier fejet hajtott Litvániának a szabadságért folytatott több évszázados harca előtt, és megígérte Németország segítségét egy Litvánia elleni esetleges orosz agresszió esetére.
A litvánokban „elnyomhatatlan vágy ég a szabadság iránt, és ellenálltak a külföldi uralomnak és alávetettségnek” – jelentette ki a német elnök. „Egymás mellett állunk. Az ő biztonságuk a mi biztonságunk is” – tette hozzá.
2022 ősze óta Berlin tartalékos dandárt tart készenlétben Németországban arra az esetre, ha Oroszország megtámadná Litvániát. Jelenleg egyetlen német parancsnoki poszt működik Litvániában, mintegy húsz katonával az országba telepített fegyverekkel és felszereléssel.
További 760 német katona állomásozik Litvániában a Bundeswehr vezette NATO harci egység keretében.

A német Weltnek adott interjút a koszovói miniszterelnök Albin Kurti, és még annál is több katonát és fegyvert kért a NATO-tól, amennyit a Szerbiával feszült viszonyban lévő balkáni állam már felhalmozott.
Ahogyan Ukrajnában úgy folytatódott 2023, amint 2022-ben kezdték – háborúval –, nem enyhül a helyzet a másik európai feszültséggócban, a Nyugat-Balkánon sem: Albin Kurti koszovói miniszterelnök még több külföldi katonai segítséget sürgetett a német Weltnek adott interjúban.
Az országunkban lévő NATO-csapatok és katonai felszerelés masszív növelése javítaná a biztonságot és a békét Koszovóban és az egész nyugat-balkáni régióban – idézte a kormányfő szavait a Bloomberg.
A jórészt albánok és részben szerbek lakta Koszovó feszült viszonyban van szomszédjával, Szerbiával, amelytől 2008-ban egyoldalú döntéssel elszakadt, a feszültség az elmúlt hónapokban fokozódott, és tovább tudott nőni még a múlt év utolsó napjaiban is. A a héten Szerbia fokozott készültségbe helyezte a koszovói határ közelében állomásozó csapatait, és egy időre a koszovói szerbek emelte torlaszok akadályozták a határátkelést is.
NATO-vezetésű békefenntartó csapatok – a Kosovo Force (KFOR) – 1999 óta jelen vannak, a jelenlegi létszám 3800.
Kurti szerint több kell belőlük, mivel a szerbek csapatokat és tüzérséget vontak össze a határnál, és élesedett Belgrád – és a mellette kiálló Moszkva – retorikája.

Ukrajna azt javasolja a NATO-nak, hogy keleti szárnyán, például Lengyelországban hozzon létre kelet-európai parancsnokságot NATO nápolyi dél-európai parancsnokságának mintájára – közölte szombaton Emine Dzsaparova első külügyminiszter-helyettes, számolt be az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Dzsaparova azt mondta, Ukrajnának továbbra is erősítenie kell a kapcsolatait a NATO-val. Mint kifejtette, a szövetség a madridi csúcstalálkozóján az állam- és kormányfőkhöz intézett videobeszédében Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök hangsúlyozta, hogy újra kell gondolni a NATO keleti szárnyának értelmezését. „Ezért azt javaslom, hogy közösen gondolkodjunk el egy NATO-parancsnokság létrehozásán a keleti szárnyon, például Lengyelországban. Mintaként szolgálhat a NATO már sikeresen működő dél-európai parancsnoksága” – hangsúlyozta.
Az első külügyminiszter-helyettes hozzátette, hogy ez a projekt legitim alapot teremthet a szövetségi partnerek, különösen Ukrajna bevonására a NATO-val való gyakorlatiasabb együttműködésbe, ami nagyon fontos Kijev számára. „Ez hozzájárul az euroatlanti integrációnkhoz, és fokozza az együttműködést olyan fontos területeken, mint a közös határok biztonságának megóvása vagy az illegális migráció, a csempészet és az embercsempészet elleni küzdelem” – mutatott rá Emine Dzsparova.
Amint arról korábban beszámoltunk, Volodimir Zelenszkij elnök kijelentette, hogy Ukrajna elutasítása a NATO-ban történelmileg téves döntés. Mindig megtalálták az okot, amiért Ukrajna nem lehet az Észak-atlanti Szövetség tagja.

A NATO védelmi miniszterei döntést csütörtökön hozhatnak arról, hogy növelik a katonai szövetség jelenlétét a kelet-európai tagállamokban – közölte szerdán Jens Stoltenberg, a NATO főtitkára.
A NATO legfőbb tisztviselője Brüsszelben tartott sajtótájékoztatót a védelmi miniszterek találkozója előtt. Emlékeztetett arra, hogy a háború kitörése óta megduplázták a NATO harccsoportjainak számát, és Balti-tengertől a Fekete-tengerig növelték a csapatok létszámát, készültségét.
Most olyan döntésekre készülünk, amelyek hosszú távon is biztosítják azt, hogy a szövetséges tagállamok területének minden centiméterét meg tudjuk védeni – fogalmazott Jens Stoltenberg, hozzátéve azt is: mindez a létszámban, a nagyobb harcerőben és nagyobb harckészültségben is megnyilvánul.
Újságírói kérdésre válaszolva a NATO-főtitkár azt is elárulta, hogy egyes kelet-európai országokban az eddigi ezredszintű harccsoportok helyett most már dandárszintűeket, vagyis jóval nagyobb létszámú egységeket hoznának létre. Hozzátette azt is, hogy ez nem minden országra igaz, de azt nem részletezte, hogy mely országokat érintené ez az átalakítás.

Az Ukrajna elleni orosz támadással kapcsolatos információs művelet célja „Oroszország démonizálása a világban és a NATO mobilizálása, a Nyugat egyesítése” – írta Jehor Csernyev, a Nép Szolgája kormányzó párt parlamenti képviselője Facebook-oldalán vasárnap, adta hírül a strana.news hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Csernyev bejegyzésében, amit átvett a párt Telegram-csatornája is, a többi között emlékeztetett arra, hogy az amerikai különleges művelet másik célja károkozás az orosz gazdaságnak háború nélkül. Ugyanakkor elismerte, hogy ettől Ukrajna is szenved, de – mint fogalmazott – „ez háború, és nem megy veszteségek nélkül”.
A képviselő azt is leszögezte, hogy ennek a speciális műveletnek az a fő célja, hogy „végre kiszorítsa Putyint Európából, és lehetetlenné tegye egy egységes eurázsiai tér” létrehozását Vlagyivosztoktól Lisszabonig, valamint az Egy Övezet Egy út kínai projekt megvalósítását. Szerinte ebből következik, hogy nem Putyin tervez inváziót, hanem az USA kergeti őt csapdába.

Aljakszandr Lukasenka fehérorosz és Vlagyimir Putyin orosz elnök megvitatta a NATO-csapatok ukrajnai telepítésének kérdését, és közös ellenintézkedések meghozataláról döntött – tájékoztatott honlapján a fehérorosz elnök hivatala hétfőn, adta hírül az rbc.ua hírportál.
A jelentés szerint Lukasenka a fehérorosz védelmi, belügyi és államvédelmi vezetőkkel folytatott megbeszélésen megvitatta a fehérorosz-ukrán határon kialakult helyzetet. Mint hangsúlyozta, „láthatják, hogyan hurcolják be Ukrajnába a NATO-csapatokat. Kiképzőközpontoknak álcázva gyakorlatilag támaszpontokat hoznak létre.” Hozzátette: az Egyesült Államok támaszpontokat létesít Ukrajnában, „világos, hogy nekünk erre reagálnunk kell.”
A fehérorosz államfő jelezte, hogy megvitatta ezt a kérdést Putyinnal, és megállapodtak, hogy valamit tenni fognak. „Ellenkező esetben Fehéroroszország és Oroszország nagyon hamar elfogadhatatlan helyzettel találja magát szemben közvetlenül a határain, egészen a megfelelő hatótávolságú rakéták telepítéséig elmenően” – hangoztatta Aljakszandr Lukasenka.
