Про це пише The Wall Street Journal.
Останніми тижнями співробітники отримували інструкції від своїх керівників у робочих групах чату або на зустрічах. Ця директива є останнім кроком у кампанії Пекіна щодо скорочення залежності від іноземних технологій і посилення кібербезпеки.
“Цей крок Пекіна може мати жахливий ефект для іноземних брендів у Китаї, зокрема Apple. Apple домінує на ринку високоякісних смартфонів у країні та вважає Китай одним зі своїх найбільших ринків, покладаючись на нього для отримання близько 19% свого загального доходу”, − йдеться у повідомленні.
Раніше Пекін обмежував державних службовців у використанні iPhone для роботи, але зараз уряд поширив відповідне розпорядження.
Обмеження в Китаї відображає подібні заборони в США проти Huawei, а також бан на використання американськими посадовцями китайського соцмедійного застосунку TikTok. Обидві супердержави стурбовані витоком даних на тлі посиленого акценту на національній безпеці.
