Antonio Guterres, az ENSZ főtitkára június 12-én kijelentette, hogy aggasztja Oroszország kilépése a gabonaegyezményből, amely július 17-én lejár és lehetővé teszi a gabona és műtrágya biztonságos exportját három ukrán fekete-tengeri kikötőből, számolt be a Reuters.
„Aggodalommal tölt el, és keményen dolgozunk azon, hogy a fekete-tengeri kezdeményezést fenn lehessen tartani” – mondta Guterres az újságíróknak.
Moszkva rendszeresen azzal fenyegetőzik, hogy kilép az ENSZ és Törökország közbenjárásával 2022 júliusában megkötött Fekete-tengeri Gabona Kezdeményezésből, hacsak nem hárítják el az akadályokat saját gabona- és műtrágyaellátása elől. Az ENSZ külön memorandumot írt alá Oroszországgal, amelyben vállalta, hogy segíti Oroszországot élelmiszer- és műtrágyaexportban.
Bár az orosz élelmiszer- és műtrágyaexportra nem vonatkoznak a 2022. februári invázió kezdetét követően bevezetett nyugati szankciók, Moszkva kijelentette, hogy a kifizetésekre, a logisztikára és a biztosításra vonatkozó korlátozások akadályozták az ellátást. Ezenkívül az orosz fél azt követeli Ukrajnától, hogy indítsa el az Odessza–Toljatti ammóniavezetéket, és emiatt blokkolja a hajók áthaladását a Pivdennij kikötőben.
Az ENSZ kijelentette, hogy hozzájárult az orosz élelmiszer- és műtrágyaexport növeléséhez azáltal, hogy stabil áthaladást biztosított a hajók számára az orosz kikötőkbe, és csökkentette a fuvar- és biztosítási díjakat, jelentette be az ENSZ szóvivője május 9-én.
Az orosz külügyminisztérium a hét elején úgy nyilatkozott, hogy nem látja a fekete-tengeri gabonaszerződés meghosszabbításának perspektíváját.

Jelenleg lehetetlenek a béketárgyalások Ukrajna és Oroszország között – jelentette ki Antonio Guterres ENSZ-főtitkár az El Paisnak adott interjújában, amelyet a korrespondent.net idéz.
„Sajnos úgy gondolom, hogy a béketárgyalások jelenleg lehetetlenek” – mondta.
Guterres szerint ennek az az oka, hogy most „mindkét fél meg van győződve arról, hogy győzhet”.
„Amennyire csak lehetséges, mindkét féllel párbeszédet folytatunk a konkrét problémák megoldása érdekében. A legfontosabb kezdeményezés a gabona exportja lett Ukrajnából… Az azonnali tűzszünetre és béketárgyalásokra viszont jelenleg nem látok lehetőséget – tette hozzá.

Az Egyesült Nemzetek Szervezetének végső célja Oroszország Ukrajna elleni háborújával összefüggésben az igazságos béke elérése az ENSZ Alapokmányának és a nemzetközi jognak megfelelően – mondta António Guterres ENSZ-főtitkár szerdán, március 8-án, a Volodimir Zelenszkij elnökkel tartott közös tájékoztatón Kijevben.

Felhívta a figyelmet arra is, hogy ez a folyamat összeegyeztethetetlen „a nemzetközi jogi keretekkel”. „Nincs keresnivalója a mai világunkban. Elfogadhatatlan” – emelte ki.
„Még jobban kockára tenné a béke kilátásait, ha Oroszország úgy döntene, hogy belevág ebbe” – mondta az ENSZ-főtitkár.

Antonio Guterres ENSZ-főtitkár kijelentette, a Kelet-Ukrajnában tartózkodó orosz csapatok nem tekinthetők „békefenntartóknak”, amint azt Moszkva hangsúlyozza, olvasható a szervezet honlapján február 22-én közzétett nyilatkozatban.
