 Azonban, ahogy Trump elmondta, megpróbálta lebeszélni Putyint bármilyen válaszról, és a harcok leállítására szólított fel. „Ne tedd ezt. Nem szabadna ezt tenned. Abba kellene hagynod ezt” – idézte saját magát az amerikai elnök.

 Jennifer Jacobs, a Fehér Ház újságírói csoportjának képviselője határozottan tagadta, hogy az Egyesült Államok bármilyen hírszerzési adatot megosztott volna Ukrajnával a „Pókháló hadművelet” végrehajtásához. A közlés szerint Ukrajna maga gyűjtötte össze a szükséges információkat.
  
 
 Az USA sietve cáfolta azokat a híreket is, amelyek szerint előre tudtak volna az ukránok Oroszország területén tervezett támadásairól, bár egyes online források arról számoltak be, hogy Kijev előzetesen tájékoztatta Washingtont terveiről.
 Az orosz védelmi minisztérium hivatalosan megerősítette, hogy ukrán drónok támadtak katonai repülőtereket az Ivanovói, Rjazanyi, Amuri, Irkutszki és Murmanszki régiókban. A drónokat teherautókról indították.
 Kijev állítása szerint az oroszok Tu-95-ös bombázóflottájának 34%-a semmisült meg a támadás során.
