Міністерство оборони Литви 7 березня повідомило про відправлення в Україну чергового пакета військової допомоги, до якого увійшли 155-мм артилерійські боєприпаси.
Литовський міністр національної оборони Арвідас Анушаускас наголосив, що Литва надсилає те, „чого Україна зараз найбільше потребує”.
„Ми чуємо їх, і наша допомога продовжується”, – додав він.
Окрім військової техніки та озброєння, Литва робить свій внесок в оборону України шляхом підготовки військовослужбовців, лікування та реабілітації поранених солдатів, експертних консультацій, внесків у фонди допомоги Україні.
За оцінками німецького Інституту світової економіки ім. Кіля, Литва надала Україні підтримку на суму 1,8% свого ВВП і за цим параметром наразі є країною №1 у світі у підтримці України.
